Roy was born and raised in Houston, TX. Christ saved him at 15, and after graduating high school, he joined the United States Maine Corps. After completing three enlistments, Roy pursued the call to ministry as a church planter and pastor. He planted and pastored two churches—one near Quantico, VA, and the other in Twentynine Palms, CA. 

Roy and his wife recently served as short-term missionaries with Mission to the World in Belize, Central America. Upon returning from the mission field, Roy answered the call to serve as the pastor of Providence Presbyterian Church in Midland, TX. 

Roy and his wife have four children and one grandson. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University and a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
